5:16 PM ET Associated Press NEW YORK — W. Cothran “Cot” Campbell, who pioneered the concept of shared ownership of thoroughbred race horses and was a longtime advocate for the American racing industry, has died. He was 91. He died Saturday at his home in Aiken, South Carolina, the New York Racing Association said Sunday.
